Now, I may have suggested earlier that the reason I’ve been a little bit rubbish in the keeping-my-website-up-to-date department is that I’ve been too busy studying. Those who know me well enough may well be thinking something along the lines of:
“pfffffffffffffffffffffffffft.”
And you’d be right.
Because full time study and part time work aren’t keeping me busy enough, I’ve decided to indulge my inner Broadway diva yet again and sign up for some thespian pursuits.
Of course, it wouldn’t be right for me to take on a stage show and use that as an excuse for neglecting everything else in my life, so naturally I decided to take on two shows at once and use those as an excuse for neglecting everything else in my life. Or at the very least, my website.
So here we go: A Condoseres double feature! And this time Kim’s coming along for the ride as well.
Come and check out the Nash Theatre’s The Taming of the Shrew to find out what happens when Kim and Garry both take the stage at the same time (Yes, okay, that already happened in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Shut up. It’s a gimmick, okay?)
And then, to find out to what extent Garry can convincingly play an Asian communist from the seventies, check out QMT’s Miss Saigon in June. It promises to be as racially and historically objective as “The Taming of the Shrew” is feminist and progressive. But the music is pretty awesome.
Click on stuff in the upcoming events column over there for more stuff. Probably just larger versions of the pictures, if I’m honest.
Make of that what you will.
